He began his career as a staff attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice in March 1971, before moving into commercial real estate investment and development in various senior positions with the Rouse Company between March 1972 and March 1979. He currently serves on the board of directors of the CoStar Group (NASDAQ: CSGP), a provider of information, analytics and marketing services to the commercial real estate industry in the United States and United Kingdom. He received his Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his Juris Doctor from the University of Texas Law School.
